In India and Pakistan, the food we eat and the clothes we wear are very similar. The way you prepare fresh vegetables can be different, and the elements that surprise your lunch must be different. Gatte ki sabzi is a traditional dish from Rajasthan, but today we look at it from a Pakistani perspective. Gram flour (Besan) plays an important role in the preparation of this dish. This 1-gram flour recipe adds wonders to meal times, and people at the table don’t just lick their fingers.
The word “gate” refers to a piece of thick toasted flour poured into a mixture of thick bitter cottage cheese, which eventually turns into a surprisingly tasty recipe.
